Overview

There are a number of different causes for any lumps and swellings in the testicles. Most are harmless such as a swollen vein or a build-up of fluid, which is a cyst. There is a chance they could be more serious, and this is why it is always important to see a doctor as soon as a man notices something that isn’t normal to him. It is important not to hesitate or attempt self-diagnosis, as this could end up being dangerous or leave a man in a significant amount of discomfort.

Treatment

Excision of an Epididymal Cyst

The epididymal cyst is excised from the scrotum through an incision of the scrotal skin. This is performed under a short general anaesthetic on a day surgery basis.
